U p like candycushion clouds,
R eflecting the last rays of
P oetry’s noble Apollo* and
L usting after His
E verlasting laurel crown.

  1. Don’t you just love all the hats the ancient Greek and Roman God’s wear, Dave , all titles that they had collected from earlier gods, supposedly. But you really have to wonder where Apollo picked up his plague godship? –Curt

    1. Maybe the same place he got his medical diploma … do I detect a clash of interests here? Yeah, they were a pack of pirates and then Christianity came along and stole a bunch of stuff from them … so it goes, as your near-namesake Kurt Vonnegut is fond of saying!
